Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie also known as Andra is a American R&B and soul singer/songwriter. She has been awarded many awards, including an Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nomination for an Academy Award. Andra Day is an imposing musician and artist who isn't merely a throwback R&B specialist. Her roots are in gospel jazz as well as the blues performed with ease and grace are carried into today's music. Cheers to the fall (2015) her auspicious debut cracked the Top Ten of the R&B/hip-hop and opened the door to some Grammy nominations, as well as one Academy Award nomination with Stand Up for Something (2017) her part in the music of Marshall getting both honors. Amen and the singles Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday all have singles that are creating anticipation ahead of the release of her new album. Andra was born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. Growing up living in San Diego and surrounding areas her first performance was in the church and was enrolled into at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. When she left the School of Creative and Performing Arts, andra Day began to concentrate on modern R&B and Pop but soon discovered that her roots in soulful jazz were the ones she was attracted to. Kai Millard Morris caught her performance and donated some of Day's music to Stevie Wonder. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz then introduced Day to veteran music industry figure Adrian Gurvitz. Day's fan base on YouTube grew quickly after she joined forces along with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. The trio ultimately got a major label contract with Warner Bros. The song quickly picked up and played in radio stations by a variety of DJs. Following her joining Warner Bros. Records, she started working with producer Adrian Gurvitz for their debut record "Cheers to the fall" (2015). The album featured the single Rise Up that was adopted as an anthem by the social justice movement across the world. The album won two times for Grammys. The album was nominated as Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album about the legendary jazz singer's life was released in 2019. The United States against Billie Holiday came out in 2021. This was the year that she also appeared in the film Holiday. Andi Mattichak is an American actor. She appeared first in TV programs like Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods prior to her debut in horror movies Halloween in addition to sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
